So, you just bought a delicious piece of steak but realize you can’t eat it before it goes bad so you toss it in the freezer.

The first step to properly freezing your steak is to ensure you wrap it tightly with no air bubbles. Ensure you eat your defrosted steak three to five days after removing it from the freezer. Your steak will go bad if you let it sit in the fridge longer! The quality of the meat can change with refreezing. Oddly enough, there have been some studies that show refreezing can actually tenderize the steak more due to the formation of ice crystals breaking down muscle fibers.
