Korean Bulgogi Sirloin with Gamja Jorim-Korean Braised Potatoes

These easy potatoes are the perfect sweet and salty side for our Bulgogi sirloin steak.

Ingredients for Potatoes:

  • 1 Korean Bulgogi Marinated Pre® Sirloin Steak
  • 1 pound baby gold potatoes, cut in half
  • 1 T cooking oil
  • 2 t kosher salt divided
  • 1/2 C water
  • 2 t sesame oil
  • 3 T low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 t rice wine vinegar
  • 2 T honey
  • 1 T brown sugar
  • 1 T garlic
  • 1 T toasted sesame seeds
  1. Cook your Korean Bulgogi sirloin steak to your desired doneness.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  3. Toss potatoes in the oil and 1 t salt, place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes then broil for 2 additional minutes until potatoes begin to crisp.
  4. Mix water, sesame oil, soy sauce and bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, until slightly reduced. Add honey, brown sugar, garlic and remaining 1 t salt.
  5. Simmer additional 5 minutes.
  6. Toss sauce with potatoes and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve warm or at room temperature.
