Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Sweet and Sour Meatballs

  • 1 lb. PRE ground beef
  • 1/4 cup white onion (chopped)
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup skim milk
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Italian seasoning (to taste)
  • grape jelly
  • ketchup
  • red pepper flakes (to taste)
  • cilantro (garnish)



    1. Combine one package of PRE ground beef with 1/4 cup chopped white onion, 1/3 cup breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup milk, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 large egg, 3 cloves of garlic, and salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to taste.
    2. Using a tablespoon and your hands, roll mixture into balls and arrange in a lightly oiled cast iron skillet. Bake meatballs at 400F for 20-25 minutes.


    1. While meatballs are baking, combine equal parts grape jelly and ketchup in a saucepan, add red pepper flakes to taste.
    2. Stir and bring to a boil, then let simmer until meatballs are done.
    3. Pour sauce over meatballs in cast iron and save the additional for dipping. Garnish with cilantro.
    4. Serve with toothpicks and enjoy!
