PREP: 5 min. ACTIVE: 10 min. PASSIVE: 10 min. DIFFICULTY Medium

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pre New York Strip steak
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1/8 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • Coconut oil
Whipped butter:
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. butter
  • pinch of dried chives
  • pinch of dried parsley
  1. To make the dry rub, combine salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder and garlic powder. Set aside. Heat cast iron skillet on high for a few minutes. Rub steaks with a little bit of oil to help the dry rub stick. Sprinkle dry rub on the steak.
  2. Once skillet begins to smoke, place steak inside and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or to preferred doneness.
  3. Place cooked steaks on a plate and cover with foil. Allow to rest for 5-7 minutes. Meanwhile, whip your butter with a pinch of dried parsley and chives.
  4. Serve a dollop of the whipped herb butter on the steak.
  5. Enjoy!
