Build Your Own Gyro Platter

Next time you crave a Gyro sandwich at the end of a workday, grab some Pre 80% Lean Ground beef and impress your family with homemade gyros. This can easily be thrown on the grill or cooking on the stove.

  • 1 lb Pre 80% Lean Ground Beef
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch (Use tapioca starch if on Whole30)
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Bell Peppers, sliced
  • Cucumber
  • Pita Bread
  • Hummus
  • Parsley
  • Carrots
  1. Drop the clove of garlic into a running food processor to mince.
  2. Add the ground beef to the food processor along with the onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, and salt.
  3. Pulse until well combined.
  4. Place beef mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate. Put a heavy pan or cutting board on top to flatten.
  5. Chill the beef in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes.
  6. Once ready to cook, place the beef on a hot grill or grill pan and cook until the internal temperature reaches at least 155º.
  7. Let rest and slice into 1/4 to 1/3 inch strips.
  8. Serve with pita, cucumber, bell pepper, and hummus!
