Ingredients

  • 1 Pre New York Strip steak

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp sriracha hot sauce

  • 1 tbsp avocado or grapeseed oil

  • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

  • 1 resealable plastic or silicone bag

Instructions

  1. Place the steak in a bag with all the other ingredients.

  2. Gently massage the bag until the marinade is mixed and the steak is coated.

  3. Place the bag on a plate and refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 4 hours.

  4. Preheat the grill or a skillet to medium-high heat, and take the steak out of the fridge 15 minutes before cooking.

  5. Remove the steak from the bag with tongs and place it on the grill. Cook about 5 to 6 minutes per side for medium rare (125 to 130°F). The honey browns quickly, so watch the heat.

  6. Rest for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain and enjoy.
