Beer Cheese Dip Ingredients
1 16-ounce package Pre 95% Lean Ground Beef
½ teaspoon kosher salt
2 tablespoons dried minced onion
1 2-ounce package powdered ranch dressing mix
¼ cup water
2 8-ounce packages cream cheese, softened to room temperature
¾ cup mayonnaise
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, freshly shredded
½ cup light beer or non-alcoholic beer
1 to 2 tablespoons fresh prepared horseradish
Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Brown ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it into a fine mince as it cooks. Add salt and dried minced onion, cooking until no longer pink, about 5 to 6 minutes. Add ranch dressing mix and ¼ cup water, stirring to combine, then remove from heat and allow to cool.
Beat softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and beer together with a mixer until smooth.
Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and horseradish by hand until combined.
Fold cooled ground beef mixture into the cheese mixture until evenly distributed.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to meld.
Garnish with green onions before serving with pretzels, vegetables, or chips.
Notes
This recipe makes a large batch (approximately 4 cups). Freeze portions in airtight containers for up to 3 months; thaw overnight in the refrigerator before serving.
